Join Katrina on April 12, 2025 from 10am to 4pm for a day-long Mindfulness Meditation Retreat at Inherent Harmony in Superior, WI.
Mindfulness meditation is the practice of moment-to-moment awareness. Through this sustained presence, we begin to become more and more aware of the ever-changing experience of being a human alive in this body and mind. This awareness can help us to become more radically accepting of the pleasure and pain we will encounter again and again throughout our hours, days, and lifetimes. As we become more familiar with this experience and the state of our minds, we begin to develop greater inner strength and a sense of contentment within the changing current of our lives.
Practicing mindfulness meditation can help you reduce anxiety, feel greater compassion toward yourself and others, help you sleep better, improve concentration and cultivate a greater sense of contentment and ease in your life. Day and weekend-long retreats can be useful both for beginner and veteran meditators, serving as a catalyst for a new practice, a container for connection with others, or as a simple but powerful reminder of your commitment to meditation.
This mostly-silent retreat will include teachings and seated and walking meditation guidance from Katrina and a facilitated opportunity to exchange questions, observations and ideas with fellow retreatants. It will provide you with the chance to go deeper into self discovery through stillness and greater awareness of the nature of your mind, benefitting from the ancient Buddhist practice that was first introduced more than 2,500 years ago.
This event is being offered on a sliding fee scale. We ask that you make a deposit of $30 to cover the facility/overhead costs when booking your spot. At the close of the retreat, you will be invited to contribute freely at a level that is reflective of your capacity and the value you feel you are receiving from the experience. Participants are asked to bring your own lunch/snacks, comfortable clothing, a yoga mat and pillow, a water bottle or beverage. Hot tea will be available throughout the day.
Registration is through Inherent Harmony. Scroll to the bottom of the page for the retreat link.
